Mike was hired as the Executive Director in January of 2016 and is a homegrown Copper Country resident growing up north of Calumet, Mi. He is a graduate of Calumet High School and Michigan Tech University. Mike has been working in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Those careers include Mercy Ambulance, Apria Healthcare and Baraga County Memorial Hospital. He draws on his strength in customer service and finance. He has been an active member of the community, and is a member of the Houghton Rotary Club, lives in Houghton with his wife, Sue. Golf and snowmobiling are at the top of his outside interests. Mike says “As executive director of Omega House, I am committed to leading the way in keeping our strategic vision moving forward as we become a leader and resource in the community for end-of-life issues.”
Mary Kay Grabig
Omega House Coordinator
Mary Kay Grabig was the CEO at Torch Lake Federal Credit Union for 23 years. Her experience with office management and her organizational skills combined with a natural compassion for people support the Omega House well. She has had many years serving people in the community and knows firsthand the mission of the Omega House as her mother was one of the first residents. Her hospice beliefs and values will benefit all who visit or reside. She lives in Laurium with her husband Dan. She has a daughter Gwendolyn and two sons; Darren (Joni), Jeff, and a step-son Josh (Emma). In her spare time Mary Kay volunteers for her son’s hockey team; the Wolverines and loves to kayak, 4-wheel, and pick blueberries. “I am happy to be a part of Omega Houses homelike environment where families and residents alike can unite to make this natural transition a memory in itself.” If you would like a tour or more information on the mission of Omega House, please contact Mary Kay.
