Mary
Herlevich
Omega House
Manager
Mary Herlevich is a long-time native of
the Copper Country. In her early work
days, Mary clerked at a small grocery
store in Houghton. A few years later,
she changed her focus to raising her two
small children. Mary reentered the work
force in 1984 as a part-time fabric
store clerk in the newly opened Copper
Country mall. She worked at the fabric
store for over 25 years in various
capacities including 20 years in store
management. In 2004, Mary elected to
pursue a significant and challenging
career change. She ended her long-time
employment and enrolled in night classes
at Finlandia University. Desiring to
contribute via meaningful volunteer work
at Portage Health, Mary enrolled in
hospice training classes. In the summer
of 2004, Mary found a new home in her
current capacity as House Manager at
Omega House. As House Manager, she
oversees the day-to-day management of
the house, AP/AR and volunteer
management and scheduling. Her hobbies
include sewing, hiking and long phone
calls with her three grandchildren. |
